Notice for INDS 1050

Reasoning Skills Test (RST)
The Reasoning Skills Test (RST) is for students wishing to test out of INDS1050, a quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills course. It is designed to bring incoming students up to a minimum competency in quantitative skills. It includes topics such as logic arithmetic, graphing, statistics, problem solving skills, and algebraic skills. Students are allowed to take the exam once per semester, including the Summer semester.
Textbook
The textbook for the course is “Reasoning Skills for Everyday Life” 2nd Edition by James F. Burkhart. It can be purchased at the UCCS Campus Store and is also available on reserve at the Kraemer Family Library.
Online Exam
The RST is an online Canvas exam and is proctored via Respondus Lockdown browser. Students are required to have a webcam and a calculator for the exam and display a photo ID prior to testing.
