Deposition + Patterning Equipment

Liquid Crystal Lab 

We have all equipment for the production and characterization of electo-optical (liquid crystal) devices and materials research.  In addition, we have:

  1. Dielectric spectroscopy
  2. Optical polarized microscopy
  3. Electro-optic characterization
  4. Ball milling for production of ferroelectric and other nanoparticles

X-Ray Diffraction

UCCS has a Rigaku SmartLab multipurpose X-ray system.  Capabilities include:

  • standard X-Ray Diffraction (XRD)
  • Grazing incidence XRD
  • In-plane XRD
  • X-ray Reflectivity (XRR)
  • High Temperature XRD
  • Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS)
